Admiring some nudes this afternoon. They are positively inspiring.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Bather Arranging Her Hair (1885)

Pierre-Auguste Renoir, After the bath (1888)

Peter Paul Rubens, The Union of Earth and Water (1619)

Charles Joseph Natoire, “Le Reveil de Venus” or “ the “Awakening of Venus” (1741)

Alexandre Cabanel, “The Birth of Venus” (1863) This is one of my favorites.

Gustave Courbet, Reclining Nude (1862)

The majority of these were from the mid-1800’s, I guess I’m a fan of Realism/Impressionism, I need to look more into the classifications of art.

I know I first noticed Baroque paintings. I fell in love with Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch” when I was 10 or so. I was so captivated with the drama in the painting. It also has an interesting story behind it.
