♥ When I woke up today I thought it was Friday, then remembered it’s Wednesday. Gregg & I have planned to go to Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club tonight to partake in a beading & chainmaille class. I’m really excited that we got our membership cards & are going! It’s only $2-3 a class! (per hour)

♥ Smashing Pumpkins’ released a new song- “Owata”!!! You can listen to it on the right side on my page. Also, the current band finally has secured rights to all the Pumpkins’ unreleased material, so we can expect remastered reissues of Gish, Siamese Dream &Pisces Iscariot by Christmas(!!!), complete with extra tracks. 2012 will bring Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness, The Aeroplane Flies High & Adore, while 2013 will see Machina I & Machina II reissued with the songs in the correct running order.

♥ I really love Cat vs Human. It’s a comic about a girl & her cats. =^..^= Also please see her other comic Doctor Cat MD.

♥ Suzie the Foodie made Chocolate Biscuit Cake which was Prince William’s grooms cake. It looks SO good. (This is just not my diet talking) Cookies + TONS OF CHOCOLATE + heavy cream= YUM!! Suzie’s blog is all around amazing, for sure worth subscribing & bookmarking.

♥ A really cute shelf made from a wooden magazine holder from IKEA. I wish I could find a place for this at my home, OR I didn’t have plaster walls that I’m terrified about drilling/nailing in. Crack! ($5 shelf!)

Eee, so cute. Even though I love Garbage so much my heart feels like it’s bursting, I still daydream about a perfect little Westie. Speaking of Garbage, she’s getting bigger everyday. I got her tapeworm medicine last weekend, & had to trick her into taking it – I tried stuffing it in soft treats, didn’t work -Ended up getting her food a bit wet (she does that anyways, it’s weird) & mixing it up in there. Gobble Gobble, all worms are gone! :) YAY!

I was reading this blog post about making French Silk Pie & they mentioned taking the pie crust leftovers,  sprinkling them with sugar & cinnamon to make “cookies”. I immediately felt warm & miss my grandmother more than ever, we used to bake a TON together when I was little.  I need to plan a trip to go visit her w/ my mom, like ASAP. Maybe I can convince her to make a pie with me. :)

The walls at my place are pretty bare since I’m so new there – while trying to hang some mirrors I had on hand,  I  found out that since my place is old it has plaster walls, not drywall – you can chip & crack the entire wall of you do it wrong! So I’ve been looking up some other options, tacking paper flowers, origami crane mobiles, & I have no idea if I’m allowed to paint, but I’d love to cover everything with chalk paint. Do you have any ideas?

I think my cat, Garbage, is Bast the Cat Goddess of Egypt. I have a habit of sending Gregg random e-mails through the day, I sent him an e-mail proclaiming that Garbage must be Bast or Bast reincarnated…!

Bast, also known as Bastet, is a feline Goddess of ancient Egpyt. Meaning, “Devouring Lady” (from bas, to devour, with feminine ending).  She is said to be the daughter of Ra, the sun God. Bast represented the moon in its process of making a woman fruitful with a swelling womb. She was also Goddess of music, pleasure, perfume and dancing.

I’ve has the idea for awhile now, that I wanted to make all my friends & family homemade Christmas gifts. Last night I revealed my plan to Gregg, he said it was a great idea.  It’s actually pretty daunting; because we have a ton of close friends & family members. (I did a rough calculation & it was over 20) Oh, & I don’t want to make just *one* gift per person/family, I want to make entire baskets w/ a variety of stuff.

Good thing is, Gregg & I work pretty great together. He’s into aesthetics, & able to see the bigger picture. I excel in grunt work, I like doing, putting things together, the small steps. (Ie: when cooking together, I chop everything up, prep & he puts it all together into something exceptional.)

The whole idea started with this blogpost, where a bride-to-be blogger made homemade vanilla extract & vanilla sugars.The extract takes a few months to make, how awesome is this? I want to be able to say, “I love you *so* much, I thought of *you* 5 months ago!!”

I’d love to include some yummy treats too. Since Gregg camps a ton (& I have …once…) I think S’mores on a stick would be a fun addition. We also like things spicy, homemade hot sauce? Homemade sour gummies?!? yes!

Maybe the gift basket could include something new from the past year. I started gardening, how about including some homemade seed tape?

A few of our close friends have children/are expecting soon. (Hey Jen!) Recycle old broken crayons (cray-ons? crowns?) into rainbow crayons! DIY bubble wands & solution?

This also could be the perfect time to get craft things I’ve always wanted but couldn’t justify, like a button machine. or even better, a letterpress machine. (Total personal obsession of mine)

I met a lady last week, who brewed her own beer. I think that would rock as well. I once made prison wine in highschool, it was terrible, so a kit would be required!
